The filmmaker returns to her hometown, Dimona, to document the testimonies of cancer patients participating in a class-action lawsuit against the nuclear reactor. Abou Kassiss documents her reflective journey within her home, family, and the city she grew up in, focusing on encounters with her father, who retired after 40 years of work at the reactor.
The film "Father.House" presents a personal and critical perspective on the code of silence existing between the city's residents and the reactor nearby, on what is unsaid - that "something" we cannot grasp, that we will never be able to understand, that cannot be documented. Ultimately, the film offers an intimate portrayal of an unresolved obsession with capturing and holding onto fear, confronting the power of silence, and speaking from the heart of the quiet.
