In honor of the new school year, the Urban Sustainability Center invites parents and children to a cooking workshop for preparing a lunchbox. Together we will learn about food combinations, prepare a shared dinner, and hear an explanation from a dietitian. The workshop is for ages 5-8 and lasts about two hours.
As the school year approaches, during which we expect to prepare around 220 lunchboxes (!), the Urban Sustainability Center is pleased to invite you and your children to a colorful and especially delicious cooking workshop, which will help us diversify the lunchboxes for the entire year! Together, we will learn how fun it is to plan, cook, and prepare school and kindergarten lunchboxes.
With Chef Pini Ava, we will learn about successful food combinations, taste new foods, prepare and cook together, and finally, assemble varied options for our daily lunchbox. We will hear a brief explanation from a certified dietitian about the food we need, and we will end with a shared dinner where we will eat what we cooked together!
The workshop is intended for ages 5-8.
* Duration of the workshop is approximately two hours.
* The ticket is a pair ticket for a parent and child.
* Please avoid bringing children without a ticket. The number of participating pairs is limited.
