The White Album is the common and well-known name of the ninth double studio album by the British rock band, The Beatles, simply titled "The Beatles." The album was released in 1968 and is characterized by a completely white cover, free of graphics or text except for the band's name embossed on it. This minimalist design was chosen as a stark contrast to their previous albums' psychedelic and busy covers. The album is considered one of the band's creative pinnacles but also marked the beginning of their disintegration. Most of the songs were written during the band's stay in Rishikesh, India, in early 1968, but the recordings at Abbey Road Studios were accompanied by severe tensions and arguments, mainly stemming from each band member's desire to start a solo career. The album features an enormous stylistic range spanning from classical rock, acoustic ballads, blues, folk, avant-garde, and even early heavy metal. Among the 30 compositions on the album are classics such as: While My Guitar Gently Weeps (written by George Harrison and featuring Eric Clapton on guitar), Blackbird (a famous acoustic ballad by Paul McCartney), Back in the U.S.S.R, Honey Pie, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Helter Skelter (considered one of the first punk/metal songs), Dear Prudence, and Revolution 1.

Italian saxophonist Rino Cirinnà was born in New York, a third-generation musician family member, studied clarinet at the conservatories of Catania and Rome. In 1984, he won the competition for soprano saxophone players in the prestigious national Carabinieri orchestra of Rome. He studied under Alberta Eleni and participated in several RAI TV programs and performed with some of Italy's most famous singers. In 1989, he moved to the United States, where he lived for ten years, studying at Berklee College of Music Boston and under Jerry Bergonzi, Charlie Banacos. Upon returning to Italy, besides his personal projects, he collaborated with the Mediterranean Jazz Orchestra conducted by George Gruntz, Maria Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Maurizio Giammarco, and Paolo Silvestri. Rino performed on tour in the United States and Canada, and at various jazz festivals in France, Portugal, Brazil, Israel, Malta, Slovenia, and Austria. In recent years, he started an intensive production career, founded Archimede Records, and collaborated with Anaglyphos Records and the Mhodi Music Company. He participated in conducting courses under Thomas Bricetti. He was a faculty member at Brookline Music School, Somerville High School, and is an honorary citizen of Little Rock, Arkansas.
