Shmulik Bodgov, recipient of the Solo Award from the Musicians' Union for his contribution to Israeli culture and one of the leading and most influential musicians and guitarists in Israeli music, returns to Shablul for another performance after the first one captured the audience's heart and left them wanting more.
Bodgov is an artist, arranger, and composer who has been involved and influential in the formation of Israeli rock from the 1970s to the present. He participated in arranging and playing on thousands of masterpiece albums by top artists in the country, from Arik Einstein through the band Brosh, Zehu Ze, the band Sheshet, Shlomo Artzi, Yehudit Ravitz, Mati Caspi, Riki Gal, Nurit Galron, Margalit Tzan'ani, Chava Alberstein, Yigal Bashan, Tzvika Pick, Rami Kleinstein, Corinne Allal, the band The Jews, and more, and he is an integral part of the soundtrack of our lives.
In the new show, Bodgov brings his life story for the first time: a journey between stories behind the scenes and on stage alongside the biggest and most beautiful songs made here. Accompanied by virtuoso musicians, Bodgov presents an evening that is a complete artistic musical experience with the best songs in which he took part: "Ata Po Chaser Li" - Nurit Galron, "Yachol Lihyot Sheze Nigmar" - Arik Einstein, "Baleilot Hastev" - the band Sheshet, "Mekom Li'daga" - Mati Caspi and Riki Gal, "Sivan" - Yigal Bashan, the band The Jews - "Kach Oti" and "Hazman Shel Od", along with fascinating stories, including: the discovery of Chaim Saban when Bodgov was 16 and his joining Arik Einstein and The Churchills, the first studio recordings with Einstein and Shem Tov Levy and what happened in the studio, what happened when Bodgov's mother read in the newspaper that improper plants were found under Uri Zohar's bed... and more and more.
