### The Beatles’ Greatest Hits: Amikam Kimelman's Hard Jazz Knights Hosting Singer Yoel Lerner
The ensemble, Hard Jazz Knights, brings a jazzy character and style to the songs of "The Fab Four" through new arrangements in a variety of styles such as swing, bossa nova, ballads, and blues. Led by Amikam Kimelman, the ensemble includes a selection of top-tier jazz musicians, including EWI player Eli Benacot, pianist Avi Adrian, bassist Aryeh Volnitz, and drummer Eitan Itzkovich.
In honor of the Yabajazz Festival, they will be joined by singer-songwriter Yoel Lerner, known from The Sixties Band, along with Italian saxophonist Rino Cirinnà and Israeli percussionist Gilad Dobrecky.
The Hard Jazz Knights have performed numerous shows across the country, including the Eilat Jazz Festival, Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, Baku Jazz Festival (Azerbaijan), White Night, concerts, and jazz clubs throughout the country and on television programs. They have recorded an album and participated in a special project with the Be'er Sheva Sinfonietta Orchestra conducted by Maestro Doron Salomon and singer-songwriter Alon Olearchik.
Songs to be performed at the event include: "Eleanor Rigby," "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," "Ticket to Ride," "Norwegian Wood," "With a Little Help from My Friends," "Here, There and Everywhere," and "Hey Jude."
Singer-songwriter Yoel Lerner first gained fame when he sang the song ‘Shomér HaChomót’ during his military service in the Central Command Entertainment Team. After his discharge, he worked with various artists including Jonathan Geffen, Esther Shamir, Ephraim Shamir, and Nurit Galron. He participated alongside Avner Kenner and Mazi Cohen in "Ve'Hayeled Haze Hu Ani," and later was part of the legendary band "Premiere." Yoel has contributed to recording albums for many artists including Arik Einstein, Yoni Rechter, Miki Gavrielov, and Shalom Hanoch. He has written songs for Gidi Gov, Arik Sinai, and more. Yoel is a graduate of the Tel Aviv Academy of Music and is a founder/partner of The Sixties Band, which has been successfully performing from the mid-1980s to this day.
