In this experiential workshop for the whole family, we will transform fabric scraps and existing materials into colorful and comfortable cushions for stools. We will work with hand sewing, machine sewing, and additional joining techniques. Participants will learn creative ways to work with reused textiles and discover how to create a useful, personal, and unique item from materials already around us.
Suitable for adults and children (accompanied by an adult) | No prior experience necessary.
The workshop is led by Asia Weisberg - a textile artist and fashion designer, a graduate of the Department of Jewelry and Fashion at Bezalel, and holds a teaching certificate in art. She creates with soft materials and artisanal techniques such as sewing, embroidery, felting, and more. In her work, she uses existing and new materials, and believes in the healing power of connecting textile creation with the community.
