Ensemble Itim is proud to present - a stage adaptation of the beautiful children's book by Shira Geffen, "On a Leaf and Alona", taking viewers on a poetic and magical journey following Alona - a little girl returning home alone through the garden.
"Alona returns home from kindergarten, through the garden," begins Shira Geffen's book 'On a Leaf and Alona'. As she rests under a tree, a golden leaf falls from the branches above her and rests on her head. This leaf is different from all the others, shaped like a heart, and becomes a silent companion - protecting her from the rain and opening an inner journey of reflection, tenderness, and questions of belonging. Does the leaf belong to her - or to the tree from which it came? Should it stay with her, or perhaps return to its natural place?
The play was created within the framework of the 35th Haifa International Festival for Children's Plays for the year 2025 and won awards:
