Today we will explore the wonder of light, build personal periscopes, and understand how our body perceives all the colors around us. The workshop combines curiosity, creativity, and scientific understanding in an enjoyable and colorful way, providing not only knowledge but also inspiration to see the world in a different light.
### Periscope Construction | Ages 4-6 with Parental Supervision | 16:30-17:30
What is a periscope, and how does it help submarines see what's happening above the water surface?
In this workshop, children will discover how to see beyond the corner using light, mirrors, and angles, and they will build their personal periscope, which they can decorate and design.
Through the building process, the kids will learn experientially about light reflection, vision directions, and precise planning, resulting in a curious and functional product.
A surprising twist awaits them at the end of the workshop...
### The Wonderful Body - Eyes
First Round for Ages 6-8 | 16:30-17:30
Second Round for Ages 9-12 | 17:45-18:45
Join us to create the human body as you've never seen it before! In the workshop, we will learn about the vision process — how the eye captures light from the environment and how light finally becomes an image in our brain. We will get to know the different parts of the eye and the role each part plays. We’ll discover why we have two eyes, what vision impairments are, and what an optical illusion is.
### Color in the Eyes
First Round for Ages 9-12 | 16:30-17:30
Second Round for Ages 6-8 | 17:45-18:45
An experiential and fascinating workshop inviting boys and girls on a special journey into the world of science and art.
In the workshop, we’ll learn about the fascinating story of Patricia Bath, a pioneering inventor, and learn about light and colors through active experimentation and scientific tools.
We will explore light phenomena together, discover how our eyes see colors, and create surprising and educational scientific artworks.
The workshop combines curiosity, creativity, and scientific understanding in a fun and colorful way, providing not just knowledge but also inspiration to see the world in a different light.
