Adaptation of the adventure book series by Hugh Lofting. Doctor Dolittle learns the language of animals and embarks on an adventure with the parrot and the monkey. A funny and exciting show with songs and puppets that teaches about friendship and helping others.
Dr. Dolittle's clinic, led by the beloved animal-loving doctor, becomes increasingly filled with animals to whom he provides treatment and shelter. With a lot of free time on his hands, Dolittle decides to learn the language of animals with the help of his talking parrot, Polynesia.
One morning, Chee-Chee, a monkey who accidentally arrived on a cargo ship from Africa, appears at the clinic and tells Dolittle about an epidemic that has broken out among jungle animals. Dolittle, Polynesia, and Chee-Chee set out on an adventure to the distant continent of Africa.
A small and virtuosic play, with songs and puppets, funny and touching, teaching us to follow our hearts, to listen and not just speak, to behave with friendship and help others.
