**Festival Roots 2026**
Five days of diverse creation from the roots of Israeli society.
**Back to the Neighborhood - Premiere Performance**
A new and humorous nostalgic musical show that takes us back to the old Israeli street - to the small, romantic, and funny moments that shaped an entire generation. From the sounds of "Song of the Neighborhood" by The Roosters band, through "Tune of the Neighborhood" by Uzi Hitman, to "The First Kiss on the Bench in the Garden," the stage weaves a live picture of the good old Israel: street games, the neighborhood grocery store, and the simple heart that beats between the houses.
Alongside beloved classics, the show also includes contemporary hits with a nostalgic wink, like "Queen of Roses" and "A New Guy is in the Neighborhood," creating an emotional and humorous connection between then and now. The performance is delivered by four singers accompanied by a live orchestra, with rich arrangements and a captivating stage energy. An evening of memories, smiles, and songs we all grew up with - and also those that make us keep singing.
Musical Direction: Eil Gilboa | Editing and Directing: Ofer Shafrir.
