An experiential activity for children aged 8 and up
Three two-hour sessions from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM where participants create, share, and dramatize magical worlds – and each day ends with a personal creation to take home.
**Day 1: Sunday, August 23rd**
*Pop-up Book Workshop*
A paper crafting workshop for making pop-up characters. In this workshop, children will be able to create and design their own three-dimensional fairy tale book with monsters, animals, princesses, and more. Led by visual theater creator Hila Fleshkas.
**Day 2: Wednesday, August 24th**
*Animals Making Faces*
An illustration workshop with Miri Leshem-Peli, author, and illustrator of over 30 children's books. How do you draw animal faces? How do you convey emotions and expressions through animal illustrations? In this workshop, we will discover secrets from the illustrator's workroom – work methods and behind-the-scenes stories – and learn to draw funny, character-filled, and emotional animals.
**Day 3: Tuesday, August 25th**
*Candy House Sculpture Workshop!*
Come and create the famous house of Hansel and Gretel in a very sweet workshop! Artist Gili Drober (author of "The Enchanted Forest," "Treasure Island," and "Carmel in Plasticine") will teach you how to sculpt chocolate walls, candy roofs, and an array of surprises – all out of plasticine! A creative imagination exercise in crafting a sweet and magical world out of plasticine.
