Thirty years after its premiere, one of the foundational works of Israeli contemporary dance returns to the stage. "Zikhronavarim" by choreographer Rami Be'er, created in 1994, will once again be shown to audiences. The ballet performances are dedicated to International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Day of Liberation of Auschwitz. "Zikhron Dvarim" is a unique pledge of memory embodied not in words, but in movement. From this experience, from the bodily knowledge, emerged a performance that became one of the symbols of contemporary Israeli dance.
In "Zikhron Dvarim," Rami Be'er achieves complete unity, full fusion between movement, music, and scenography, existing here in perfect harmony. Be'er creates mesmerizing images on stage. The title "Zikhron Dvarim" — AideMemoire — a French expression meaning "reminder," "something that helps to remember" — takes on a literal meaning.

Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Ensemble
The ensemble was founded in 1970 by Yehudit Arnon. It is based in Kibbutz Ga'aton in Western Galilee. Rami Be'er has led the ensemble since 1996. The group spends six months touring the world and the rest of the time in the kibbutz, where the rehearsal halls are located. The troupe is known for its visually rich, politically inclined works, combining contemporary choreography with theatrical and musical elements.
Rami Be'er
Choreographer, artistic director of the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Ensemble, and member of Kibbutz Ga'aton. He represents the second generation of Holocaust survivors. Over forty years, he has created more than forty choreographic works. A former IDF paratrooper and participant in the First Lebanon War. He is one of the most well-known Israeli choreographers of his generation, whose works are shown on leading stages and festivals worldwide.
