A dance work based on improvisation for four dancers who create for a moment a female tribe, moving together in repetition. They carve their way through an artificial nature, dependent on each other and hanging onto one another, creating an alternative female mythology. The dancers operate according to a structured choreographic mechanism with spaces and margins for free choice: each time they compose new movement formations and respond to each other in real-time.
Noa Shadur creates dance works for the stage and screen, living and working in Tel Aviv. Shadur is interested in how geographical, cultural, and historical spaces are embodied in the moving body. Her work is based on historical, visual, and cultural research of existing bodies of knowledge and reprocessing them through a contemporary perception of body, relationships, and contemporary culture. She is a graduate of the ArtEZ Academy of Art in the Netherlands and the MFA program in documentary film studies at Tel Aviv University. Shadur has won the Ministry of Culture and Sport Award for Dance in 2017, 2014, and 2009. She has also received local and international scholarships and awards for her creations.
