The tradition of "Ehud Kaminski and Friends" continues once a month on Friday afternoons, paving the way for a fun lead-up to Shabbat. Kaminski, one of the founding giants of jazz in Israel, hosts the top musicians of the Israeli jazz scene on the stage of Shablul Jazz.
This time, Ehud returns to the days of the legendary "Berber" club, one of the places where the Israeli jazz scene was formed in the 1960s. Together with his old friends, trumpeter Mel Me Kentucky and saxophonist Albert Piamenta, with whom he shared the stage back in those days, they meet again for a musical encounter connecting past to present.
Joining them are Yonatan Riklis on piano and Ram Erez on the double bass, members of Generation Y, performing works by Miles Davis, Clifford Brown, Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington, and more. These are tunes that connected the friends back then and continue to connect generations today.
