Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald
(USA) Roberta Gambarini & Tamir Hendelman Quartet
Roberta Gambarini is one of the greatest contemporary jazz singers. Her voice is powerful and soulful, her stage presence is irresistible, and her international career is truly brilliant. Her rise to the global jazz scene began after she became a finalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk competition.
Three Grammy nominations, performances from Hollywood to London's Royal Albert Hall, and collaborations with jazz legends such as Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, and Paquito D'Rivera affirm her status as a world star.
Critics and audiences admire her voice, sensuality, and musical virtuosity that she brings to the stage. Gambarini has received numerous awards, including the title of "Singer of the Year" from the International Jazz Journalists Association, as well as DownBeat magazine awards as "Rising Star" and "Best Vocal of the Year."
It is no coincidence that the French Ministry of Culture awarded her the highest honor, the Order of Arts and Letters. During her concerts in Israel, she will perform a program dedicated to the great Ella Fitzgerald.
