The Ravida Stream passes through a valley between the Beit HaKerem neighborhood and Givat Shaul and Har Nof neighborhood in Jerusalem, ending near the Beit Zayit reservoir. It is a hidden natural gem in the heart of the city, a place where scenery and tranquility meet. In recent years, following the construction of Route 16, the stream has undergone dramatic changes, leaving a significant mark on the area's landscape and character. This photo collection aims to explore the different layers of the stream: before the construction work, during, and after, and to examine how the landscape was scarred, changed, and is beginning to rebuild itself.
Menachem Hanani has been a resident of Jerusalem for about six decades, residing in the Beit HaKerem neighborhood. Menachem is a retired professor at the Hebrew University School of Medicine and Hadassah Hospital, involved in research and teaching in the field of brain sciences. Since childhood, he has pursued photography as a hobby.
